The cabin with passengers overcomes the 1,620-meters path in six minutes. The project was unique because operating with such a length of ropes and a height difference of 250 meters it had only three supports and the maximum distance between each of them was almost a kilometre. The project provided for the main priorities – high reliability, year-round operation and visitor’s comfort.

TOUR MEDEU / SHYMBULAK, at 1691m above sea level, Medeu is the highest skating rink in the world. Its unique location makes its ice super-glidey, and Medeu has a lot of world records and skating history attached to its name. It is the world’s largest mountain complex for winter sports with the largest area of artificial ice field. Shymbulak is a modern ski resort with 10 ski lifts, 25 kilometers of ski slopes, some of which are equipped with "snow cannons". Founded in 1954 as a training base for Soviet skiers, Shymbulak is the most famous destination in Central Asia for winter sports enthusiasts. Shymbulak is located at an altitude of 2,000 to almost 5,000 meters above sea level and is a natural habitat for unique plants and animals (including those listed in the Red Book).

ONE-DAY TOUR TURGEN GORGE + LAKE ISSYK (85 km)

Turgen Gorge is one of the outstanding advantages of the Ili-Alatau National Park. It is located very close to the centre of Almaty, 70 km. In the gorge, you will find thermal health springs, the opportunity to enjoy trout fishing, unique waterfalls and forest expanses. In the gorge of the forest there are many different coniferous and deciduous trees, alpine and subalpine
meadow fields, lakes, springs.

ISSYK (another name for the lake is Esik, which means "door" in Kazakh) is a picturesque, high-mountain lake surrounded by the unusually beautiful nature of dense forests and wide flower fields. The lake is located at an altitude of 1760 meters above sea level, in the Issyk Gorge of the Zailiyskiy Alatau, approximately 70 km east of Almaty.
