• The cabin with passengers overcomes the 1,620-meters path in six minutes. The project was unique because operating with such a length of ropes and a height difference of 250 meters it had only three supports and the maximum distance between each of them was almost a kilometre. Founded in 1954 as a training base for Soviet skiers, Shymbulak is the most famous destination in Central Asia for winter sports enthusiasts. Shymbulak is located at an altitude of 2,000 to almost 5,000 meters above sea level and is a natural habitat for unique plants and animals (including those listed in the Red Book).
